There are approximately 5 million companies in the U.S. consisting of 10 people or more according to DMDatabases. Of that 5 million, one company, precisely one, has adherents who feel compelled to share the firm's quarterly financial reports, sales figures, and latest product line, on Free Republic on a daily basis.

One.

Why?

They’re the ONE COMPANY that blows the rest of them away in our free enterprise system ... :-) ...

Quarterly financial statements don’t come out on a daily basis. We discuss them quarterly.

We are happy with our Apple purchases.

If we saw American Sniper, we rejoice and share with other Freepers who did likewise.

If we saw Ted Cruz give a speech, we gab with othe Freepers as to his inflections and marvelous humor.

Let us enjoy life’s pleasures without having to deal with your depression.

Because they live vicariously through them, and think they, by extension, are superior people based on the money Apple makes. They feel like their purchase is validated by their profits.

It's bizarre because they go overboard with the bombastic hyperbole, which is the hallmark of Apple fanatics it seems. They are "good" and "smart for using that stuff, so you must be stupid and unproductive for using anything else, and they will swamp you with sales figures and financial data to make sure you believe it.

“Why?”

They are simply exercising their right to repeatedly post the exact same information (albeit different articles) w/o an admin snuffing out the nonsense.

These cultists remind me of the days when I was an Atari fanboy back during their heyday. I had somewhat of an excuse in that I was 8 years old back then.

I’d hate to see what some of these “FRiends” would have done to a Playgirl magazine featuring Steve Jobs. Before I get attacked, I’m not talking about Apple users in general ... I’m talking about the lunatic fringe we all know and love.

I’m still trying to figure out how the use of a 64 bit processor reduces dependence on memory ... one of the other geniuses posted that last night.

Having said that, it’s been a fantastic time to be an Apple shareholder :-)!!!!

True, there are several million companies of 10 people or more, but only one of them is closing in on generating a half trillion dollars in annual revenue. Apple is probably 2-3 years away from having a $500,000,000,000 year.

Like them or not, Apple is writing the most astonishing story in the history of the business world. They are literally leaving every other giant company in the dust, including behemoths like Microsoft, IBM, Xerox, Intel, HP, Wal-Mart, Google, etc.
