Israel's military says two of its soldiers were killed and another seven were wounded in a Hezbollah strike Wednesday on an army convoy near the Lebanese border.
Israel's military responded to the anti-tank missile strike on the convoy with aerial and ground attacks on Hezbollah positions in Lebanon. Lebanese security officials told the Associated Press that Israel fired 25 shells across the border. The Israeli Defense Forces said that residents of the area had been ordered to remain in their homes.
The Lebanese terror group Hezbollah earlier claimed responsibility for the attack and said it destroyed a number of Israeli vehicles. A Spanish U.N. peacekeeper was also killed in the clash.
A statement from Hezbollah also said that the attack was carried out by a group calling itself the "heroic martyrs of Quneitra," -- suggesting it was retaliation for an Israeli airstrike on the Golan Heights on Jan. 18 that killed six-Hezbollah fighters

Did they “know” that these Israeli commanders would be in the area, and target them purposely?
Or were they waiting and watching for them?
From the article:
“In a not-so-veiled swipe at Netanyahu, Livni emphasizes that Israels freedom of action depends on the strength of its alliance with the US and its quiet partnerships with Middle Eastern countries who also see a threat from terrorism.”
This could be 0b0z0’s campaign personnel making Netanyahu “pay a price” for daring to accept Boehner’s invitation.
Occurred the same day Putin is meeting with Iranian presidential envoy.

Obama won’t give Bibi props before an election, but he sure will undermine him.
Iran is giving Russia a naval base at the entrance of the Persian Gulf... now why would Russia want that?
Ynetnews reports the soldiers killed as Captain Yohai Klangel and Sergeant Dor Nini.
No one should be fooled by those who claim UN forces are “peacekeepers”. They are well armed forces placed in an active war zone by countries that have chosen to involve themselves in the conflict.
Besides the fact that we were all told repeatedly in 2006 that UNIFIL would be greatly strengthened, the F in UNIFIL stands for forces. It’s not called UNIPIL.
UNIFIL forces monitor and report on Israeli troop movements to the enemy, and they often end up as human shields for the enemy as well.
Anyone who believed UNIFIL would disarm Hezbollah with the passage of Resolution 1701 in 2006 will be sorely disappointed.
Somewhere, Obama and his cronies are celebrating along with Hezbollah, they are one in the same..that is why the left is trying to get rid of BiBi Netanyahu so badly, because he won’t comply with the left’s vision for Israel, to no longer exist..Israel will respond to Hezbollah and LeBanon won’t like it when it happens
Very good friend going to Israel next week (long planned trip). Should he be concerned, or cancel it?
I’m not defending the UN “peacekeepers,” but simply pointing out that the Europeans are going to completely ignore the Hezbollah attack and blame the Israelis for everything.

“Today at 11:25 a.m., ‘Quneitra Honorable Martyrs’ group in the Islamic Resistance attacked an Israeli military convoy in the Lebanese occupied Shabaa Farms, consisting of a number of vehicles and Zionist soldiers and officers, by firing appropriate rockets,” Hezbollah said in Statement-1 shortly after the operation.
Hezbollah calling this “Statement #1” implying more attacks to come.

Might want to keep an eye out as this type of thing could trigger an IDF invasion.
They’re not “well armed.” Even Ehud Olmert in 2006 said UNIFIL was weak. They were “useless and helpless,” according to him.
