Talk about a fierce frown from FLOTUS! Michelle Obama's disapproving expression while meeting the new leader of Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, Jan. 27, said it all -- and it's gone viral.
The First Lady, 51, was snapped alongside her husband Barack Obama in Riyadh, paying respects to King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the successor of the late King Abdullah, during what was a quick stop in the country for the funeral. As King Salman shook hands with the President, the First Lady was photographed frowning at the royal.
At times, she looked rather uncomfortable and annoyed, even, as she and her husband met with Saudi officials.

They chose to do this an go there, they knew damn well they have to go by protocol regardless of how one feels about them.

I think the obamas are communists and i hate their ideology of lies, deceit, & collectivism. But, I have to agree that the first lady of the United States should never cover her head.

The Saudis were responsible for 3,000 people dying horribly on 9/11. We should have taken over that country, taken their oil fields and forced them to become Christians (to paraphrase Ann Coulter).
When I lived in London in the 70s, rich Saudis were all over the place. A bigger pack of vile, awful men and women you could not imagine.

They chose to go there and then they should go by protocol, however if it were me I would not have gone and would not have a close relationship with them.

Love it! It occurs to me that her lack of following protocol in this instance and refusal to bow to Muslim conventions may accomplish far more good for women than her phony baloney hashtag “bring back our girls”

Maybe she’s pissed because she’s hungry. How’s the food in Saudi Arabia?
I don’t think any American woman should wear the head covering there either- but as far as I know it is not a choice for most. I understand any woman not wearing “proper” clothing out and about in S.A. is subject to people hitting her with sticks, verbal abuse and possible arrest. I don’t plan to go there for many reasons but that alone would stop me for sure.
As first lady she wasn’t going to be out and about so would not be subject to the treatment other women are, and I do support her choosing not to cover her head.
I also agree her scowl seems to be her normal expression, possibly the warnings our mother’s used to give about our face freezing in a bad expression have some truth...
She always looks so angry . . . isn’t that a hallmark of the culture?
