Went out to a national/regional view, and because this map dealt just with rain/ice/snow, it was obvious in the early evening that New York City was going to miss the bulk of the snow.
The ‘channels’ kept showing the cloud cover, giving the impression that was the affected area. It was obvious it wasn’t, since it extended east to Ohio at the time. And I wasn’t getting snowed on.
Yes, at around 6pm last night looking at the maps and water vapor images, one could see the low jog a bit east.
Right then and there the forecast should have changed for NYC.
