An Army official reveals the tough charges the military has planned for POW, Bowe Bergdahl.
Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, who was released by the Taliban last year in exchange for five prisoners, is being charged with desertion, retired Lt. Col. Tony Schaffer told Bill O’Reilly on “The O’Reilly Factor” Monday.
Mr. Shaffer, who now works for the London Center for Policy Research, said two separate military sources have confirmed to him that Sgt. Bergdahl’s attorney has been given a “charge sheet,” listing out the articles of the uniform military code that have been violated.

It was never about freeing Bergdahl. Just a Ruse to set (5) muslim terrorists free from Gitmo.

There was no way he could not be charged with desertion. Personally, I don’t think he can (1) avoid and trial, and (2) avoid conviction.
The question then becomes the punishment. That’s where ‘discretion’ enters the picture. I’m betting on something like 2 or 3 years with time in captivity counting toward that total.

Actually, most of us don’t give a damn what Obama thinks about Bergdah or anything else for that matter.
Unless the Sultan reverses the judgment before it is made public.

Just as a reminder...this was another incident where Susan Rice, presently in charge of all security for our country, went on TV to say this guy was a patriotic, self-sacrificing, serving soldier who deserves all our thanks...

Source also told retired Lt. Col. Tony Schaffer a while ago that the original investigation of Bergdahl at the time he went missing concluded he deserted. So Obama traded 5 terrorist for a deserter. The only justification for the trade was to get him back to face justice... (ya I am stretching!!!!)
