President Barack Obama gently nudged India Tuesday to fulfill its constitutions pledge to uphold the dignity of the individual, drawing on his own experience as a minority in the United States as he closed out a three-day visit to New Delhi.
Obama said that while he has had extraordinary opportunities, there were moments in my life where Ive been treated differently because of the color of my skin. As he touted the importance of religious tolerance, he noted the persistent false rumors that he is a Muslim, not a Christian.
There have been times where my faith has at times been questioned by people who dont know me, or theyve said that I adhere to a different religion, as if that were somehow a bad thing, Obama said.

And the more that AP says persistent false rumors, they more they make them sound like the truth. Guess that is one reason he could not show up in Paris?
The color of his skin is the only reason this fraud got elected POTUS twice and will continue to enjoy a billionaire lifestyle for the rest of his days.
Everyone but the bitter clingers!
The rest of his days? Even if he ends up wrecking the dollar?
He’s in for an unpleasant ending.
Once again Obama did his customary putdown of American culture while travelling abroad. Wonder if he realized he was in India. India is the center of a rigid discriminatory caste system that remains part of its culture to this day.
too bad he and the left does not practice religious tolerance in this country
Idiot.
I got no problems with Hindus or Seiks.
“As he touted the importance of religious tolerance, he noted the persistent false rumors that he is a Muslim, not a Christian”
And then he threatened with beheadings if they don’t believe him.
ah so!
the AP is STILL trying to propagandize us into believing he’s some kind of “Christian,” is it?
Gobbels would be proud!
Raised by hyenas in Kenya, he rose to the highest office in the land.
He taught those Indians how to chew gum, blow bubbles, spit it out in public...
Sheesh.
Will he push for religious tolerance in Saudi Arabia when he visits? They’d chop off his head for such heresy.
Promoting a so called religion that is a miltary tactic bent on destroying a nation
there were moments in my life where Ive been treated differently because of the color of my skin.
I believe its because of the content of your character...
I cannot imagine why we still have those false rumors about Obama being Muslim and not Christian.
