If Iowa is so “right-wing” how’d Mr. Obama win there twice?

Appeal to Farthest Right
I guess all things that are not socialist/liberal/democrat are now "farthest right". In other words, if you are not a God-hating, abortion-loving, big-government, it takes a village, anti-American, morality is so yesteryear, liberal ... then you are an extremist now.

When did Geoeg Soros buy GQ and Esquire. I used to read these in barber shops as a young man. Now they read like newsletters from the Oakland Communist Party.

Esquire's been very liberal for a long time -- big fans of Jack and Bobby Kennedy, for example.
Maybe they couldn't count on their readers being overwhelmingly liberal and dismissive of opposing opinions until recently, so they had to play down their point of view a little.

Pretty much. As in “like gentlemen” in the worst way possible.
Funny, I don’t recall GQ getting their knickers in a twist when the off the charts, far left Emperor Bokassa aka Barry Soreto, who was mentored by Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers and Frank Marshall Davis(some of the most evil, virulent, America hating creatures that ever lived), was running for president.
