Ted Cruz has been accused of fitting that mold. I understand you not caring for Rubio, but, why are you so dead set against Ted Cruz.
I have not made a choice yet, I’m not “so dead set against Ted Cruz”
But
The skill set for the Senate and for the Presidency only overlap on Election Day, and diverge sharply thereafter. It’s not a coincidence that our three “Senator Presidents” were unprepared for the office and in general made a mess of things.
Cruz gives a good speech. The President is not a representative of us, however. That’s Congress’s job.
