No matter what judges order, and no matter how many people pretend otherwise, gay “marriage” has no more connection to real marriage than unicorns have to real horses.
Marriage is a holy rite.
Thus sodomites can’t marry.
The state can allow them to be civilly joined in a legal sense, but that is no more a marriage than a bath is a baptism.
That is disgusting
Matt Barber, COME ON DOWN!!! You've won a shiny aluminum Word Salad bowl and this handy titanium spork!
Jesus invented logic?
Who knew?
Yes, but note that the “couple” in the article use all the arguments used to push legal recognition of homosexual marriage.
1. The mentally ill want to get “married” just because it debases, ridicules, mocks, and devalues real marriages.
2. The government compounds the issue by assigning certain benefits, entitlements, privileges, and so forth to married couples. It’s the unintended consequences of the govt.’s misguided social engineering and constant meddling in citizens’ lives that makes the mentally ill want to get married in the first place.
Otherwise, they wouldn’t even care.
Entering into such a marriage, God is the third partner who guards his investment.
But when people enter into a marriage who are not a man and a woman, God cannot bless the union, in fact the union is cursed.
God will not be mocked.
Yes he did and also science. Actually he invented life itself. Who Knew? most of us.
I’d clarify this article a little — Gay Marriage is the latest evil to befall marriage. Its not like marriage was a vibrant, healthy institution and then gay marriage came along and destroyed it. Secularists started to undermine marriage in the 50s and 60s with “no fault” divorce, which became quickie, Vegas-type divorces. Followed by Vegas-type marriages, where people can get married drunk with Elvis as their pastor. Followed by living together, followed by having kids out of wedlock. Etcetera, etcetera, etcetera all the way to Gay Marriage. And Gay Marriage won’t be the end. Next up will be multiple marriages. Hey, why not let someone get married to two people if he or she really loves them? That’s all that matters, right? We fool ourselves if we think that the issue is simply gay marriage.
It would have been less bad to have polygamy, than this. You can have some semblance of normal love in polygamy. Not this hate based charade.
Anyhow, I hope we all get serious enough about the Lord to have a gospel to actually share, not to just complain that others are making it difficult for us to believe.
The primary objective is to corrupt the meaning of specific words in the language.
Marriage is, and always has been, the union of one male and one female of appropriate age, of specified degree of separation of consanguinity, and of acceptable moral character.
That means no marriages of parent and child, or of siblings, and of sufficient character to not be a blot on the community.
Now we are seeing “exceptions” made for numbers of mates in ONE union, or confirming incestuous relationships, or even interspecies relationships.
You are correct; this is not going to stop with gay marriage. By definition, “progressivism” knows no boundaries, it just rolls on until it destroys itself and everything around it. It is basically nihilism masked by vestiges of Judeo-Christian morality, vestiges which it is shedding like a snake shedding its skin.
It is, indeed.
Secularists have defined marriage as people “loving” each other. That’s all that matters according to them. So if two men love each other, or a man loves three women, or a woman loves her brother, they should be able to get married. And then when they are no longer in love, you can terminate the marriage. Nowhere in their definition is a commitment before God or any type of bond or commitment beyond a child-like, head-over-heels puppy love feeling.
Spot on!
Right on.
