Is Sarah Palin Too Toxic for 2016?
American Thinker ^ | 01/26/2015 | Lloyd Marcus

Posted on 01/26/2015 7:50:39 AM PST by SeekAndFind

Sarah Palin saying “Of course” she's interested regarding running for the presidency in 2016 has people buzzing. During that interview, Palin said we need a candidate who is ready for Hillary. I agree. Romney would be Mr. Nice Guy/gentleman unwilling to attack the girl.

As for Palin running, a woman wrote: “I have never given up on her (Sarah Palin). I am sooooooo hoping that she will be our spokesperson. My husband says the press and Obama have tainted her so much that it would be impossible for her to run. I say that 'with God, all things are possible.”

To this woman, I say, “Right on sister!” No offense to her husband, but I find his mindset frustrating. We complain that there are far too few politicians with the cojones to push back against Obama's unprecedented arrogance, lawlessness and tyranny. Despite their newly acquired control over the House and Senate, the GOP appears to be attempting to pull the wool over our eyes regarding amnesty. In their Spanish language response to Obama's SOTU, the GOP brought up immigration, desiring to “create permanent solutions” without mentioning immigration in the English version. What is up with that?

So tell me folks, how many politicians on our side truly are who they say they are; standing up for our principles and values – fighting for freedom and the Constitution? We lament that many politicians on our side are obsessed with winning an approving pat on the head from the MSM; reduced to political impotence. Oh if only there was a little blue pill for dysfunctional Republicans/conservatives.

Yep. Wasn't fair, but it was what it was. They thoroughly Quayled her.

It's too late to Quaylay Hillary, she's known and opinions, good or bad are formed. But I think we should work to Quaylay Elizabeth "Fauxahontus" Warren.

Queen of "windfall profits" made at the expense of distressed mortgage holders. It takes a lot of nerve to campaign against banks when you have been partners with them in a very profitable operation.

And, of course the fake Indian stuff. She's a hard core leftist and we need to work to ensure she is toxic on the national stage.

Notice how the Marxists never abandon their candidates like ours do. On FR, when the going gets tough the freepers scatter.

Good point. Even obtaining oral sex from your interns is not enough to make the Marxists jump ship on their guy.

Mentioning that she is running (as well as all of the others) keeps the democrats busy busy busy and more busy doing research on ALL those many candidates Plus they can’t narrow their attack-plans on only one or two people ——Keeps changing that kaleidoscope!

There is a certain class of Republican who hopes to sneak their candidate into office through the side door, unnoticed.

Anyone who actually fights for something is going to attract the attacks of the press, and the weak sisters will flee. He has too much baggage! He’s toxic!

Too many Repubs try to get elected without ever actually doing anything or saying anything, just hinting with a look or a gesture at the principles they might or might not have, then when they get into office they don’t dare actually do anything for fear they might draw the attention of the press. And there are plenty of Repubs even at FR who prefer them to the actual leaders and fighters who get pounded daily in the press (and pound right back).

I would like to see a Palin-Cruz or a Cruz-Palin ticket.

If the Uniparty grip on power can be broken peacefully (which I doubt), only a candidate like Our Lady of Wasilla can do it.

I think you're correct.

Life's unfair. Politics ain't beanbag.

Fairness has zip to do with it when illegals, dead people, multi-voting and vote harvests from folks who care little and know less, are cheating to put a minority in power over a majority. They even have to do it in the Republican party -- Cochran would have lost in a remotely honest contest. The left has to cheat because they're the minority.

Politics sure as hell is beanbag when half the time, working on the "Republican" model today, you're voting for the very things you vow to fight!

Truly, Americans are smarter than you give them credit -- the real ones, the legal ones, the ones who take the trouble to vote because they care, the ones (and they are LEGION) who hold the MSM in contempt, rightly and smartly. Legit voting Americans vote (or stay home, depending) because they care. If only they voted, this country would have much smaller government and be more moral and prosperous, I believe.

If I could have a pony, it would be in a world where Cruz and Palin were a duo, working in tandem to bring America round to the right and away from government tyranny-for-our-own-good, to cut back government and make it a servant again.

:^)

Toxic? Toxic did you say? With the party of Obola about to install, Hillary of Arkansas, as their candidate of choice for president, it doesn’t get much more toxic than that...

Living in fear of how the media will portray our candidates is a bad strategy.

My biggest problem is how she approached the possibility of running last time. She led us on a wild goose chase and teased us ...

*ahem* I was hoping and praying she'd run, and still do. But please, who signed up for the "wild goose chase" again? Be responsible for your own expectations. Palin didn't "lead you around" anywhere. You built the harness and wagon all on your own.

Laughable to think of Palin as "toxic."

Palin is a TONIC.

Toxic or tonic? Look up "tonic" and there's Palin's pic next to the definition.

Look up "toxic" and see Hillary's pic.

Very good post.

The problem is, only the very wealthy are currently represented in either party.

That leave a WHOLE LOT of the rest of us (sorry but most even here don’t fit that category) who are still looking for someone to saddle up, bring American jobs back to America, and to expect everyone contribute. In their own way.

The big problem is, we are currently just making China rich.

China doesn’t even allow Americans to immigrate. Why aren’t we making OURSELVES rich?

America needs jobs. Right here.

Palin. Cruz. Anyone stand up, right now, for working Americans.

Her prospects were cunningly destroyed by the media.

Yeah -- and everybody believes the media, right? After all, they sure listened when the media whined about American Sniper, and ... wait ... (see vetvetdoug's post #55) ...

The left (even the Republican left) has to cheat/manipulate the vote for a reason, McFrog. It's because if they didn't, they'd lose. They are the minority.

Have more faith in your fellow Americans. Hardly any Americans "elected" Obama -- what they did was to let Romney lose. They recognized the sucker's bet.

Imagine where we might be right now if people worried less about whether the gov was toxic and more about actually doing better.

Yes, except the whole point of Lloyd’s column is to mock how the liberal tainted/smeared Palin with the “toxic” label, which he roundly rejects, if you read the whole column.
