I was looking at one of those for my Jeep, since the console model isn’t available for the 2002 Grand Cherokee Laredo.
I had to take Dad to York Cty Courthouse last week, to get his stolen CCW replaced, and was required to leave Kimber 1911 .45, 2 extra mag holster and cellphone in vehicle, parked on street. I buried it under back seat, black floormat, but I didn’t like that insecurity for even 20mins.

I took the Kahr CM40 out yesterday. Ran 200 rounds through it. Slide locked back on the 2nd round, but all the rest ran fine. That’s a sweet little pistola. Recoil wasn’t bad at all, that double spring takes a lot of recoil energy out.
I like!!

It would almost be better to have a biometric trigger lock that attaches to a cable for a car. Handgun safes are too big for a car.

8+1 for a 10mm is pretty good for a 1911.
