I’m all for closed Republican primaries EVERYWHERE. Open primaries are one of the tools that the GOPe (and, let’s be honest, the ‘RATS also) uses to help ensure that RINOs are nominated.
It’s not quite open or closed in Arizona. Independents and Party members vote in the Primary. The petitions were for making it party members only.
