Countering an opponent gives the opponent control of the battle. I'm more a fan of "first you win the argument" with content instead of tactics.
I'm talking about countering such tactics that previously would charge you with falsehoods, shout nonsense just to drown you out, and suddenly change schedules and venues so you don't even get to attend or be published.
Post the truth before they charge. Gain the agreement before those offering it know what they've done or whom they have backed. Use that opening to teach more of the remaining content. By then, and particularly when my motives are undeniable, nobody will believe the shrill in the room.
I don't go in expecting a war, but knowing that the desires of those who would oppose me can be redirected. They hate corporate crooks as much as anyone. For them to learn they've been used is a major shock. Upon learning that, some have even quit their jobs. So it is a matter of redirecting energy, not countering it.
Maybe I'm just over the hill, but I have no idea what this means.
Look, I pray your technique succeeds. It is the civilized way. Thus, there's the rub. What I warned Don of at the bottom of 17 certainly pertains to you.
