The Muslim “call to prayer” also declares there is no god but Allah and Mohamed is his prophet. that’ is proselyting.

If Muslim students at UCLA cant figure out how to tell time or keep track of when they need to pray, thats their problem.
That's correct. The public call to prayer dates from a time when people did not have watches or any easy way of accurately tracking time, so the task was in the hands of professionals who - some way or the other - did it for the community as a whole.

I really wish people would stop posting that meme. While Mohammed was most assuredly an antichrist (one of many to have arise), and his doctrine is the doctrine of demons, the Arabic for "In the name of Allah" (Bismillah) is written
بِسْم& ٱللّٰه ٱلرَّ
and looks nothing like the ancient Greek numerals for the Number of the Beast (which incidentally don't have a harpoon shaped bar over the xi, nor a dot to the right of the digamma).
While as an Orthodox Christian, I don't regard lying as indefeasibly evil (St. John Chrysostom gives examples of blameless deceptions and there are instances from the lives of the saints), supporting the critique of Islam as demonic with transparent lies only served the interest of the Evil One.

Bother, I tried to edit the html for the Arabic to get rid of the blank boxes, and instead introduced an ampersand. Deleting the blank boxes, the Arabic looks like:
بِسْمِ ٱللّٰهِ ٱلرَّ

Catholics have the Liturgy of the Hours.
Matins (during the night, at midnight with some); also called Vigils or Nocturns or, in monastic usage, the Night Office
Lauds or Dawn Prayer (at Dawn, or 3 a.m.)
Prime or Early Morning Prayer (First Hour = approximately 6 a.m.)
Terce or Mid-Morning Prayer (Third Hour = approximately 9 a.m.)
Sext or Midday Prayer (Sixth Hour = approximately 12 noon)
None or Mid-Afternoon Prayer (Ninth Hour = approximately 3 p.m.)
Vespers or Evening Prayer ("at the lighting of the lamps", generally at 6 p.m.) Compline or Night Prayer (before retiring, generally at 9 p.m.)

Duke is a private university, UCLA is public, so I doubt there could be any sort of church on the UCLA campus. I know there is a Lutheran Chapel and a Catholic Center either on campus or right across the street from it. And there are any number of religious student groups that meet. The article says the Muslim call was heard on campus. Did it originate from somewhere on campus or from some building just off campus?

The Pricing should allow each Mooselim Student to purchase A Prophet Watch of their very own.

I don't know. In my day, several religious groups had facilities adjacent to the University of Washington campus, but I don't think any were actually on campus. But religious groups were allowed to set up tables in the student center, along with all the political, social, and environmental groups.

Please refrain from abusing the Activism sidebar.
Thanks.

Wow. That’s odd. How is that abuse? I just pick the first one in the lineup. It’s not intentional. I’ll just quit posting then.

I just checked the App Store and there are multiple apps for indicating the Muslim prayer times on iOS devices. I am certain that there are also multiple Android apps for the same purpose.

The Activism sidebar is normally reserved for the FR Chapters.
It’s simple - just don’t check the ‘Activism’ checkbox.

Thank you so much, onedoug.

Did you command at company level?
As an old SP4, I’ve always held military officers in esteem. And I’m still a little intimidated by them. Really.
I was in 1/1 CAV, AMERICAL DIV, I Corps, RVN 1968-69. Every now & then an officer screwed up. But the majority that I knew were genuine leaders.
Medals are a fine thing, yet so many acts of true heroism and self-sacrifice go unknown on the battlefield.
But I’m raving.
I salute you, Ma’am.
