merican Sniper has a problem. It's a movie about a black-and-white distinction between good and evil, but it is set almost entirely in the Iraq War, which can only be honestly portrayed in shades of gray.
Faced with a choice between altering its narrative to account for that gray versus altering the facts of history, the film chose the latter. It adopted an "honesty shmonesty" approach to the war: in its retelling, Iraq was a fight of Good Americans against Bad Terrorists, led by Chris Kyle, the Good-est American of them all.

So how about ISIS? Are they our moral equivalent as well?
Perhaps its a little too gray over their at vox. I recommend they turn on the lights.
So much of the critizsm against Kyle involvles him not even knowing who or what he is shooting.
I want to make the point that a SEAL, an expert sniper, an elite skill based on single shot kills of a specific individual carefully chosen, looking at someone 500 or a 1000 yards away, through a $2000.00 scope, knows exactly what he is shooting and can tell the difference between the target being armed or carrying a Koran.
Based on that photo I’m guessing the Shetland ponies cover her.
And walking on the beach, backrubs and sunsets.
I sent her an email saying her opinion piece was poop from an obvious sheep.
[W]e know that it is not enough to have a short-term solution to terrorism, that is, defeating the terrorists who on a daily basis plot and plan to destroy innocent life, but also to deal [...] with the circumstances that created those terrorists. And we believe that the ideology of hatred which they espouse can only be met by advancing liberty and democracy. These statements are fine in the context of helping free countries remain free. But these and many other speeches and declarations made during this time attempted to explain and justify our presence and purpose in Iraq - preemptive invasion to convert a government into a democracy - the flawed and hopefully scrapped part of "The Bush Doctrine." Again, that is not the purpose for America.
Our purpose is more like what Reagan, Bush Sr.'s "Desert Storm", and "W"'s invasion of Afghanistan were trying to do: defend ourselves and other countries from attack. We do such because we believe in freedom. But each nation has the right to freely govern itself as it wishes. And each nation, including America, does not have the right to force itself and its ideals on others. That is the antithesis of freedom and America does not stand for that.
Interesting photo...
So, she is “Still not asking for it?” What the heck does that mean? That she is she begging “for it” then?
The hand in the air and the closed eyes reminds me of scenes at evangelical tent revivals, except that people at those wear clothes, and are not naively evil.
Dunno which scope he used but, I do have 5 Luepold MK IV Scopes. Many of our boys use them.
Bought em in 2008 @ $1,650 per.
Only mounted 4 but, I love them.
Great from dusk to dawn.
Would like my next build to have a Schmidt & Bender:
Price? $3,500
Oooh Awe? Priceless
The move on Iraq was a response to international pressure to relieve sanctions on Saddam. Look up Oil for Food. Waited for UN approval. France screwed us when we finally attacked.
What other hope is there than democracy to organize states? Are we going to designate dictators?
Democracy in the Arab world, means they vote for hardcore Islamists. Is that what you really want?
As history teaches, tell a big lie often enough, it becomes accepted as the only truth permitted to be known.
WMDs in Iraq, Globull warming - the tactic is effective because Satan sticks to what works.
This is exactly how they approach the fact-checking sites they run.
Republican issue fact checkings are always black and white.
Dem issue fact checkings are always full of obfuscation, conflation and qualifiers.
If it;s a really bad / negative issue for the Dems, they’ll simply “launder” the issue in the tabloids - to generate public skepticism.
Yup...I had a similar reaction to a line in a Star Wars movie...
“Only Sith deal in absolutes,” said the Jedi.
Well dang, Jedi! That’s an “absolute” right there!
Before she even wrote her first sentence we knew she was one of Obama's flying monkeys and wouldn't support our men in uniform in any way shape or fashion.
She claims Saddam’s “innocence” regarding 9/11, yet doesn’t explain all the murals he erected in Iraq celebrating that atrocity or how
the brilliantly weaponized anthrax arrived here at the same time.
America is not in the business of forcing other sovereign countries into our mold. That is like kidnapping an adult against their will and forcing them into a place WE think would be better for them. THAT is tyranny.
“Another SJW. Arent they all, these days.
And in this case a JSJW! Or in other words, a capo.
You are right...”Muslims are evil and should be killed.”
If there’s any doubt, just watch this video from a WW II British Military Cemetery in Libya.

Maybe to a dumb broad like you, 'Manda. There were strategic problems and major policy inconsistencies, but at the tactical level where guys like myself, my platoon, and Chris Kyle and his teammates were, it was very much black and white.
Hater - of American values
