I'm sure that Rand and Walker, in that order, would be their first choices as they are both outright weak on the Amnesty issue, however, Senator Cruz is not going to walk away from this fight, so they may hedge their bet and go with Ted if they come, rightly so, to the conclusion that Ted can win this thing.

Excellent observation, and basically a reverse of 2012. Love to see how a four way between Bush-Cristie-Romney-Cruz would pan out.

In that scenario, I'd guess Cruz goes into the convention with the lead, and the GOP(e) then steals it from him in second, third, or fourth ballot.
