Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL), arguably the intellectual leader of the national movement against immigration amnesty, has come out swinging against a new border bill proposed by House Homeland Security Chairman Rep. Michael McCaul (R-TX).
Sessions issued a lengthy and blistering statement detailing the reasons he thinks McCauls bill would be a mistake for any Republican who supports stopping President Obamas executive amnesty and other lawlessness on immigration. The senator writes:
Republicans won a historic midterm vote on the promise to take real actionnot symbolic gesturesto end the immigration lawlessness. It is essential that any immigration measures moved by the Republican Congress actually do the job. Too often, Congress will pass anything on immigration except that which will actually work. Indeed, the repudiated Gang of Eight bill was touted as the toughest border security [and] enforcement measures in U.S. history. Unfortunately, border legislation being marked-up on Wednesday in the House Homeland Security Committee again fails to include the measures necessary to fulfill its promises.
Sessions writes that McCauls bill does nothing to stop Obamas catch-and-release immigration policies. In recent months, immigration agents from Border Patrol and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) have been prevented from actually apprehending and deporting illegal aliens when theyre caught. Instead, the illegal aliens are allowed to stay. While theyre waiting for adjudication proceedings (that few actually even show up at) they can take job opportunities away from struggling Americans. Sessions adds:

Republican voters have, once again, been betrayed by Boehner.
Republicans won a historic midterm vote on the promise to take real action.
************
Just another of many false promises by a party with no convictions. The worthless Pubbies will blow this historic opportunity and turn the senate back over to the Dems in two short years.
Unfortunately its not the first time Republican voters have been fooled and betrayed. This is all becoming very predictable.
Is it really betrayal if you know what you’re going to get? And if anyone didn’t know, they are the source of the monicker “Stupid Party.”
If they win another election at any level, it will be no thanks to me.
I will accept nothing less than closing the borders and ejecting the illegals from the country.

“So ordered” U.S. Chamber of Commerce
McCaul’s been on my semi-retch list for a while, but is now firmly on the hit list, politically. Primary his ass and the other 33 TX Reps that voted for Boehner.
republicans lied to us.
what a surprise.
Part of the problem right there.
McCaulis a Chamber of Amnesty shill from the Austin area. He needs to be fired in 2016.
Kenny Marchant is one of the 33. He’s dead to me.
Dave Brat is a soft-spoken, but passionate Economics Prof in Virginia.. who took down Eric Cantor.
We need to be recruiting 33 Dave Brats in Texas, starting two weeks ago when they voted for Boehner. Force the incumbents to make Cantor’s mistakes, then take them out.
bump
Sounds like a plan.
I just had to self censor a hate filled post. I am posting the small part of it that was worthy to be posted.
May God bless Jeff Sessions and give him success.
Go door-to-door and ask your neigbhors; Go to church and ask them; Go anywhere and ask. Immigration is a hot issues for under 5%, including Hispanics.
Obamacare, Jobs, taxes, spending, Obamacare, Jobs were the issues that won the election and won it big.
To win on immigration in 2016 Republicans/Conservatives need to make this clear distinction: We are against welfare for immigrants, both legal and illegal. No immigrant should come here to collect welfare. We are against murderers, rapists, DUI drivers who are immigrants and will ENFORCE it.
Attacking immigrants who work is a loser with the voters. A wall at the border is seen as a big government boon-doggle by the voters.
I will be contributing to Session even though he is not my Representative.
