In the link provided, there are a LOT of churches [~50 based on the search results] in Dearborn and by all appearances, on its face, the assertion made in your post doesn't appear to be coming to fruition.

If it is true, then there needs to be a much stronger push back.

But I'm curious [if true] as to why the churches involved haven't been making any hay out of this...

There are something like 80 thousand muslims in Dearborn which is a lot and they can be a problem but its anything but a no go area. Dearborn is one of the most economically stable Detroit suburbs because they rely on outside business. The majority of their business comes from the million or so middle eastern Christians who also live in the greater Detroit area.

Unfortunately some can't get around the idea that arabic writing does not equal muslim. Virtually every Coptic, Chaldean, Assyrian, etc have signs that include arabic. Some Christian women in the area also wear head coverings as a habitual cultural style thing.

In simple terms, there are problems with having that many muslims in one place but Dearborn is not dangerous. Plus, the overall number of muslims is falling in comparison to the Christians as the muslims head south and west. Michigan has fallen to 7th or 8th on the list of muslims per capita by state.

I’m actually a lot more concerned about the muslims that are living outside the city in closed compounds.

Coldwater Michigan shows up on a list of muslim compounds. 20 years ago it was unlikely at best. There has been a prison down there for many years and it wasn’t a huge problem. Unfortunately someone got the brilliant idea to build apartment buildings for families of inmates to live in.

Used to be that inmates were released from prison and they left the area. Now they stay.

Haven’t heard of any jihadi training centers in our area, but...

We’ve had pretty much the same result here while the County prison was open...convicts shipped up here from the LA basin and surrounding areas.

“Let’s build affordable housing for the inmates’ families.” they said...”It’s too far for them to come and visit.” they said...you can guess what happened next.

The presence of moslems in our area has increased substantially in recent years.
