In fact, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service last fall listed the bird as a threatened species under the Endangered Species Act.

Once again, the ESA has abused its tyrannical power. The "western" yellow-billed cuckoo is simply a population segment of the entire complex known as the yellow-billed cuckoo. And it is NOT endangered in any way!

There's another thread about this very abuse of the ESA upthread about the wolf. I pinged you to it earlier.

Sidenote: I happen to know some people who have worked for Rocky Mountain Bird Observatory. Don't think I know this Beason guy though.

Just another government attempted , private property, land grab that would close down ranching, farming, logging, hunting, energy production, and...

USF&W and pals must be angry at this inconvenient truth.

It’s always good news when the ESA people and enviro-nazis (I repeat myself) come up against those that speak the truth regarding their BS to close or restrict use of lands due to the ESA.

That's a common ruse used by the environazis at USFWS. Wanna make a species endangered? No problem, just declare a new species somewhere where there are not a lot of a common species. They did it here with Prebble's Meadow Jumping Mouse. In actuality it's nothing more than a common field mouse. But you can make 'em jump if you scare 'em real good.

I saw an article a few years ago that identified a couple of USFWS "scientists" who can be reliably counted on always to "find" a new species if they're asked.
