Michael Moore defended a statement he made on Sunday that "snipers aren't heroes" by refuting the interpretation that he was weighing in on the debate surrounding Clint Eastwood's "American Sniper."
"My dad always said, 'Snipers are cowards. They don't believe in a fair fight. Like someone coming up from behind you and coldcocking you. Just isn't right. It's cowardly to shoot a person in the back,'" Moore wrote on Facebook late Sunday with a link to tweets. "But Deadline Hollwood and the Hollywood Reporter turned that into stories about how I don't like Clint Eastwood's new film, 'American Sniper.' I didn't say a word about 'American Sniper' in my tweets."

Fair fight? Hey dumbass (MM) when your life is on the line a “fair” fight means a fair chance of losing. When your life, or the lives of people you care about are on the line the last thing you want is a fair fight. You take every advantage you can. Fair fight, snort, coming from a lib - champions of the ludicrous notion everyone should get a trophy just for showing up. In the real world Mr Moore, there are winners and losers.
Then there was a comment on the story that made me LOL:
Comment: "You know who is a hero? The poor guy at Golden Corral that has to refill the buffet when Michael Moore is there for lunch/dinner."
He actually had a dad? What species of sub human life was it...er uh, he?
Yep I have two friends who were "in the shit" in Viet Nam both were wounded in firefights.
They have a saying about Honorable or fair fights in war. "We have a technical name for people who fight fair in battle. They are called Casualties"
War ain’t a fight you wander into. It’s more like a bar fight. Expect the sucker punch or get out of the bar room.
Fat has-been hyprocrite pansy liar enjoying America’s blessings.
It’s sickening to think that someone would actually marry and have sex with this pig. Apparently she came to her senses.
LOL!

I wasn’t comparing the two. Big difference between comparing and reminding. Apples remind me of oranges. Can’t compare them, though.

But if you were having a slow news day, you’re welcome for me giving you the opportunity to blow something completely out of proportion.
Heh, heh. I was wondering if anyone was going to get that.
Did they mention snipers when ‘Enemy at the Gates’ came out?
So, Michael Moore was indoctrinated in fringe lunatic liberalism by his parents. Just like Zer0. Rotten apples fallng off the family tree.
Strange statement.
He says his uncle was killed by a sniper in WWII and that snipers are cowards, then goes on to say that invaders are worse.
Wasn’t his uncle in the process of invading when he was shot?
Or was his uncle fighting on the other side?
Moore is just worried that a Japanese whaler will harpoon him if he goes to the beach.
Ol’Fat Boy should know that the concept of a fair fight during war died about 1862.The enemy is to be killed whenever the opportunity presents itself.
“My dad always said, ‘Snipers are cowards. They don’t believe in a fair fight. Like someone coming up from behind you and coldcocking you. Just isn’t right. It’s cowardly to shoot a person in the back,’”
Guess what Mikey? War is hell, and no quarter is asked for or given. If you won’t shoot the enemy in the back, he will certainly not hesitate to shoot YOU in the back. Your pride in your honor and bravery is little consolation when you are lying in a pool of blood dying.
Wait until some crazed fan holds Moore or one of his family members hostage. He’ll want a sniper there to take out that fan before someone gets hurt. Scum
