The British redcoats hated American revolutionaries because the Americans would actually try to kill British officers on the battlefield. Very unsporting, don't you think?

It is actually humorous to me what they did to the British. They snipers targeted either the horse or the rider on the horse, as those were surely the officers. By decapitating the leader they effectively sent the whole troop into a mad scramble. Some people would call that a low blow. I would just call it war.
