London: A new study has recently revealed that manicured lawns are major source of greenhouse gases, which contribute to global warming.
Grass lawns soak up carbon dioxide, which is stored in the soil after the cut grass rots and so, like trees, they are considered good for the planet. But Dr. Chuanhui Gu of Appalachian State University in the US said that once the energy expended by mowing, fertilizer use and watering are taken into account, lawns actually produce more greenhouse gases than they soak up.
The study is published in the Journal of Environmental Management.

This is all B.S!
That’s so bizarre. Was it ninnies (busybody women in minivans with nothing better to do)?
In other news, Kaymer’s collapse in Abu Dhabi lets in Stal for maiden victory. Rory comes from far behind to take second.

I follow the tours a lot and I've never even heard of Gary Stal. But he will certainly be moving up from # 435 in the world ranking.
That would be 25 on the stempmeter. We’ll be chipping into the hole.
I follow golf avidly. Tried playing but I’m too astigmatic to find the ball but love the sport. Individual effort is much more interesting to me than team sports. The Seattle who’s?
Besides McIlroy, there are several young players now who could turn into uberchamps, makes the game more fun to watch than when Tiger ruled.

No. It was a couple of people that didn’t speak English too well. They were pleasant enough and we understood what they were saying. Was easier to cut my son’s lawns back then one day not find him.
I agree. I like the drama of the sports where a person has to do well or go home with no paycheck. Golf and cycling replaced the NFL and NBA in viewing pleasure for me many years ago.
Ahhhh, I think I get it. That’s really pretty crazy.
