s they have almost every Friday for two years, Muslim students gathered at Duke University’s chapel for weekly prayers at midday Friday..

But a university plan to sound the prayer call from the Duke University Chapel’s 210-foot bell tower for the first time was hastily called off Thursday in the face of anti-Islamic tirades on social media and what a school official described as credible concerns about security.

Instead, the call to prayer, or adhan, was sounded in Arabic and English on Friday from a small portable speaker set up on the chapel steps. Many among the hundreds of students who gathered condemned Duke’s about-face and demanded more religious tolerance.

The private university, founded by Methodists, intended the broadcast as a gesture of the school’s commitment to religious diversity. Instead, it exposed a religious fault line.

Duke used to be a good school dedicated to educating students and advancing knowledge. But then, so were Harvard,... Princeton,... Rutgers,... Holyoke,... Clark,... Columbia,... Yale,... Oberlin, UVA,... ... ...

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the Muslim call to prayer was to be played every hour on the hour and all muslims were to kneel on their prayer mats and pray for the required amount of time.

When did that change?

Just know that though Muslims say it's a call to “prayer”...when in reality it's another call to he that opposes the God of the Bible.

Expect more atrocities and vile things happening our country.

Obots at it again. Are they the ones who make multi-million dollar donations? Does their tuition give them the right to criticize the board of directors decision to recant on the threat of lost funding? Do they really think that they have the authority and numbers to alter school policies or force a Christian denomination to disrespect doctrine or places of worship by allowing the call to worship of the desert demon god or allowing his worshipers to violate the sanctity of the House of the Lord God? Their protest is nothing less than blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. Burn in hell they will.

They should just institute sharia law at Duke. Let’s see what the lesbians and the homos think of that.
