The year 2014 now ranks as the warmest on record since 1880, according to an analysis by NASA scientists.
This video shows a time series of five-year global temperature averages, mapped from 1880 to 2014, as estimated by scientists at NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) in New York.
While scientists expect temperatures to fluctuate from year to year, the average temperature of the planet as a whole has warmed by about 1.4 degrees Fahrenheit (0.8 degrees Celsius) since 1880. This trend is largely driven by increasing human emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.
The GISS analysis incorporates temperature measurements from 6,300 weather stations around the world, ship- and buoy-based ocean temperature readings and data from Antarctic research stations. These measurements are plugged into an algorithm that then estimates average global temperature. The computer code for this process is freely available for download from the GISS web site.

Spent the last weak snowplowing the remnants of Global Warming from my driveway.
I thought about that as I posted... he obviously was put in that position to make him into the evil bad guy that squashes science by saying “No more Global Climate Change Alarmism at NASA”.

In my area, this January has been the SECOND January in a row that the AVERAGE temperature has been TEN FRACKING DEGREES below normal.
All I can conclude from the available evidence is that "NASA scientists" are paycheck whores.
AS a matter of fact, I'm beginning to suspect that a WHOLE LOT of "scientists" are paycheck whores, considering that the universities have been taken over by the Left...

1. Both high-ranking officials and major corporations have bought the "global warming" hoax hook, line and sinker and invested untold billions because Al Gore said it must be so in his movie, and won the Nobel Prize.
2. This Nobel Prize-giving to Al Gore was an effort by world Leftists to console him after he lost the Presidential race in 2000 and it seriously looked like the loss was going to drive him completely 'round the bend.
3. These same world Leftists attempted to bury Al Gore's "Release My Chakra!" incident, because it indicated he WAS completely 'round the bend.
4. Both high-ranking officials and major corporations still have billions invested in convincing the public that "global warming" is the real deal.
5. This "global warming" thing is getting old, is being proven wrong daily by actual science, and the fear they have attempted to instill in hearts worldwide in the interest of profit just is not happening like the investors were assured it would.
6. "Global warming" evangelists like Al Gore are in serious trouble. High-ranking officials, major corporations and world Leftists are getting very impatient for the bang for their considerable bucks.

“Rocket Scientist” used to mean a smart person.
Now it is someone who will sell their soul.
Muslim outreach mission at NASA is well underway.
How they knew what satellites can tell us today in 1880 is less clear.
The places that they tout as having warmed are little pockets of ocean. This in turn is due to a lull in ocean currents which would otherwise be mixing cold water with the warm. Context means so much.
