I got the pneumonia shot this year. My doctor wanted me to get the flu shot, but as I told him, I couldn’t tell any difference between years I got the shot, and the years I didn’t. I take zinc, C and Sambucol. So far, so good.

I wondered about that on a thread earlier today, which had contained an article about how the flu shot actually caused an INCREASE in flu deaths among seniors. My question was, if a senior is going to get one shot, wouldn't it be better to get the pneumonia vaccine? I thought it was pneumonia that's the real killer for seniors.

I take a different approach. I avoid crowded and/or poorly ventilated places and I try to keep a healthy life style and nutrition.
