A hostage situation is underway near the French capital of Paris, a week after the deadly Islamist attacks in the city, local media report.
An unconfirmed number of people are being held at gunpoint at a post office in Colombes, on the northwestern outskirts of Pairs.
Early reports suggest it might be a robbery gone wrong.
The area has been cordoned off by security forces, with a police helicopter hovering over the scene.
Looks like this is going to be a daily thing.
And how quick they knock each other down to get to a microphone and announce it’s not terrorism.
I’m guessing the French aren’t buying it any more than we would.
Great timing: stage a penny-ante robbery when your national police forces are on hair-trigger alert for a terrorist attack.
How do you say “Dog Day Afternoon” in French?

If I was taken hostage, I’d prefer to be carrying. Maybe it’s just me.
actually it is Chien journee apres-mid (the first e in journee and the e in apres have the little ‘ above them too)
You’d have to juggle the word order around a bit too, because you can’t apply a leading adjective to a noun in French.
