Conservative movement leaders are unveiling the mandate they say Republicans have heading into this new Congress, after voters gave them a majority in both the House and Senate for the first time during President Obamas tenure.
The document, obtained exclusively by Breitbart News, details how the conservative leaders expect Republicans in Congress to stop Obamas fundamental transformation of America, something they say the American people made clear in the 2014 midterm elections with such resounding GOP victories.
The November 2014 election was a repudiation of the complicity of the United States Congress in President Obamas dramatic and unconstitutional expansion of government, the documents introduction reads, before listing several major expectations the American people have of Republicans as this new Congress begins.
Signers of the mandate document include columnist and former federal prosecutor Andrew C. McCarthy, New York Times No. 1 bestselling author Brad Thor, former Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell, ConservativeHQs Richard Viguerie, Eagle Forums Phyllis Schlafly, Family Research Council executive vice president and retired Army Lt. Gen. William G. Boykin, Secure America Now president Allen Roth, nationally syndicated radio host of American Family Radio Sandy Rios, Election Law Centers J. Christian Adams, Center for Security Policys Frank Gaffney, Americans for Limited Governments Rick Manning, author and speaker Tim Daughtry, American Family Association president Tim Wildmon, ForAmerica president David Bozell, and American Conservative Union chairman Matt Schlapp, along with scores of other signers.

.... no one John Bonehead or Mitch McTurtle give a shiite about.
2/3 of the states have Republican majorities which would be the rough equivalent of 66 US Senators being Republican. A veto proof majority. The way we elect Senators now puts power in the hands of concentrated population centers (cities) that are natural hot beds of socialism.
Exactly. We’re stuck with limp leadership, ie: Cheeto tan and Turtle face.
Thanks, good explanation.
Sorry, this is just more highminded statements about what they would like to do.
But nothing about HOW to do it. For example, HOW to override vetos?
I’ve posted on another thread, that what we need is a GOP Conservative coalition convention, and primary before 2016. We have to unite behind one single presidential candidate and make the conservative platform clear. With one candidate we can avoid the splintering that took place in 2012 and with a platform we can avoid a list of RINOs who take our votes and then pretend we don’t exist.
What neither Obama or voters seem to understand is the following. Even if voters had welcomed Obamas misguided changes to the constitutional republic, Obama cannot fundamentally transform America without working with Congress to successfully propose new amendments to the Constitution to the states for ratification.
In other words, what should be stopping Obama is the Constitution instead of voters, the problem being that corrupt activist justices are perverting the Constitution in lawless Obamas favor.
This is to challenge the pubbies to get 'er done.
FYI
Nice list and thanks for putting this together
“But nothing about HOW to do it. For example, HOW to override vetos?”
Simple. The Congress deems that a simple majority overrides a presidential veto.
President Buckwheat doesn’t obey the Constitution, so neither should Congress.
Conservatives who follow Constitutional law will lose against the liberal Marxists who don’t obey Constitutional law - every time, all the time.
It’s time for people to realize that we are at war for our survival against the leftist commie/fascists in America. War isn’t fought using Marquess of Queensberry rules on our side, while the enemy brings brass knuckles and a sledge hammer into the ring. The object is to destroy the enemy by any means necessary.
Hi Publius, would appreciate your take on the mandate.
Clinton would have taken his lumps in this election, backtracked, triangulated, and then found a new course. But Clinton was a skilled politician. Obama is an ideologue. He will continue to double down and dare Congress to shut down the government to stop him. So many people are dependent on government payouts that a shutdown would be political suicide.
People who are highly political want this president stopped, while the greater mass of the people simply want the current system to continue. Principle is not a major item to most people.
On March 4, I'm going to post a Publius Essay reflecting on the 82nd anniversary of the New Deal and what it has done to this country.
Amen.
As Kurt Schlichter opined ....."let's understand that our real goal is to destroy everything Obama stands for his lies, elitism, the quasi-fascist dream of controlling every aspect of other peoples lives. This is the time to strike. Our enemies are on the run.....the military knows that you defeat the enemy in detail during a rout. Let's hunt them down. Let's finish off progressivism. And let's do it by not being stupid......."
I'll drink to that.

My hope is that they will represent the conservatives of America. My guess is that it will be the dog and pony show of political correctness by rinos and their democrat cohorts right up till the day of God’s judgment on our increasingly evil nation of fools and thieves.
Amen, though corruption in government has never historically ever recovered from corruption therein.
