Duke University has reversed itself, and announced Thursday afternoon it will not allow a Muslim call to prayer Friday from its iconic cathedral.
The decision had met with widespread controversy.
“Duke remains committed to fostering an inclusive, tolerant and welcoming campus for all of its students,” said Michael Schoenfeld, vice president for public affairs and government relations. “However, it was clear that what was conceived as an effort to unify was not having the intended effect.”
Members of the Muslim community will now gather on the quadrangle outside the chapel before moving to its regular location for prayers, Duke said.
The move to authorize the call to prayer from the chapel had roiled social media and led to a denunciation from evangelist Franklin Graham.

So...did you interpret the “reversal” to mean that the “call to prayer” will bellow forth from the quadrangle...just NOT the Bell Tower?
If so, doesn’t answer Graham’s question: Will evangelical Christians be allowed the same three minutes weekly to broadcast the message [Gospel] across campus?
I can’t for the life of me fathom how all the liberals and aeithiest would welcome this happening on “their campus.” There would be violent riots if any bible verse were played on a loudspeaker on a schedule or if anything Christian were played from a mosque.
The fact that liberals who hate Christians supported or came up with this at Duke is pretty clear evidence that they are either closet muslims themselves, or they are bought and paid for.
They really delegitimize thier anti-Christian, anti- religion stances when they do things like this. It proves only Christians piss them off, not religion.
In essence it exposes them for the anti-patriot, American enemies they are. Their anti-Christian stances are really just a cover to attack American life, country and culture, which are intertwined with Christianity. Religion in itself clearly does not bother them.
These types of folks and the leaders of Duke should be charged , yet again, with treason, and other such subversion related crimes.

I am deeply offended whenever I hear the “Terrorists Call to Prey”, after all millions of my neighbors forbearers were captured by those people and sold into slavery and to this day they are still doing it.
Why on earth should they allow Muslim prayers in their cathedral?

prayer with the prayer held elsewhere. I think this was just the call to prayer.
