Notoriously anti-gun Europe will probably turn down this request from the European Jewish Association to allow members of their community to carry firearms to defend themselves.
But what does it say about the plight of Jews in Europe that they would feel compelled to ask?
The European Jewish Association (EJA), which represents Jewish communities across Europe, says that gun license laws must be altered following a string of deadly attacks on Jews in France and other European countries, where anti-Semitism has been growing at an alarming rate.
The recent attacks, including one on a Kosher market that killed four, “have revealed the urgent need to stop talking and start acting” in a way that empowers Europe’s Jews, according to a letter sent Tuesday by EJA General Director Rabbi Menachem Margolin to EU leaders.
The EU, which has enacted very stringent gun control laws, should empower and train Jews to be proficient with guns in order to maintain their safety, according to Margolin.
“The Paris attacks, as well as the many challenges and threats which have been presented to the European Jewish community in recent years, have revealed the urgent need to stop talking and start acting,” Margolin writes.
“We hereby ask that gun licensing laws are reviewed with immediate effect to allow designated people in the Jewish communities and institutions to own weapons for the essential protection of their communities, as well as receiving the necessary training to protect their members from potential terror attacks.”

The Rabbi is a Lubavitcher Chassid, so his appeal is quite limited. He doesn’t speak for very many Jews, unfortunately.
You’d think after Esther, there wouldn’t be a need to ask for permission to defend one’s life and property.
And 48% of the population of the USA still thinks he walks on water. The 12.6% of the population that is black see him as a black man, and thats ALL they see. He could roast babies in the rose garden and they'd still worship him because he bees black. The white liberals don't see anything wrong with what he's doing because he's following liberal policies. It doesn't amtter if the policies turn the entire country into a worse version of Detroit, because when liberals' policies fail the liberals always say (and may even think) "We just didn't go far enough." Liberal logic is as follows:
When some liberal program or law has a terrible effect on the country, then the reason is had that effect is not that the policy was patently wrong it is because it didn't go far enough. If x amount of something is bad then 10x will be good, and if 10x is 10 times worse, then 100x will turn it around. They NEVER admit that they're wrong.

God gave Israel up, as they ultimately consisted of the ten tribes in the north. What remained was Judah and Benjamin to the south. But as Bible believing Christians know, that was just until Christ's church was established. When Titus destroyed Jerusalem in AD 70, along with their genealogical records, that was the end. The "abomination of desolation" spoken of in Daniel.
Israel exists as only a secular nation. Yes, it's a political ally of the United States. But the only way anybody today can be a child of God is through Jesus Christ.

"At Hand" for John's contemporaries. The events in Revelation were fulfilled at the destruction of Jerusalem.

One would think if there were ANY social grouping outside the US of A who would understand the need for private firearms ownership, it would be Jews...but despite a proven record of high intelligence as a people, this seems to me a very strange blind spot.
Now, that doesn't include my "next door but one" neighbor and good friend, who is ex-Air Force, has CCW, and practices both Judaism and target practice "religiously". And of course there is the JPFO....but as Jewish groups go, it is pretty small.
