Sad, but it has been coming for years. They had a good thing going until the management killed it..................

When you needed something, they had it. Weren't always the cheapest, but they had it in stock. I did have a problem with their salespeople a few times, being a little too pushy on the extras. From trying to get me to buy four radios (one of each different color M&M) when I only had two nephews to buy for to assuming I'd need batteries to operate something and puting them in the bag before either informing me that they were in there or telling me that he'd rung them up.

Others were more helpful, definitely, but no over-the-top stories in that direction spring to mind.

About time. I have never been able to find anything in there. Nothing was ever stocked and never wanted to wait around to order from their catalogue.

Time to hunt yard sales with anything made by Radio Shack.

We have a great store here in Easter MA called You-Do-It electronics right of of Rt. 128/I-95.
A bit pricey but they have EVERYTHING, 10 times the store RS ever was.

I quit going to them years ago when they fired their employees via the email. Think it was right before Christmas too?

They did not even have the guts to face their employees too.

I thought that was crummy, and quit shopping there at that point. Granted that was 10 years ago.

Although I went back 1 time since about a year ago to get a charger for my phone.

It's not the same old Radio Shack of the past. It looked like a Wireless phone store. I remember thinking there are not going to make it like this.

Anyhow the modern Radio Shack IMO is Fry's . Although they are limited in locations. If you never been to a Fry's and in the Area. I strongly recommend going if you like electronics. It's a terrific store. Fry's puts Best Buy to shame.

You’ve got questions? We’ve got cell phones!

I haven’t stepped foot in one in years. I used to enjoy browsing there. I even found the inspiration for the device i built which became my first publication.
