My first job after graduating with a STEM degree in 1991 was flipping burgers at McDonald’s. Then I read about Congressional support for the H1b visa program and how people like Bill Gates supported it, and for while hoped I would get a terminal illness so I would have absolutely nothing to lose.
It’s hard not to be totally cyclical and optimistic when they screw you at every opportunity. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
