You’re confusing blowouts with running up the score.

Wow, that score wasn’t run-up.
You are a typical liberal that has no bearing.
Ohio State simply put you out of range, grow up.
To: Ronald_Magnus
Not Really. Ohio State gave you 4 turnovers.
It was a blowout.

The Gold Standard for RUTSing in another venue was Sarah Palin’s complete and total dismantling of Slow Joe Biden in the 2008 VP debates. She had already clearly won the contest just minutes in. But she kept scoring touching after touchdown (with 2 point conversions) at each stage in spite of the leftist “moderators” biased against her. Biden was left whimpering in a mewing, puking puddle by Governor Palin’s constant bombardment. But I suppose there are some liberals in this thread who thought her relentless fusillade was somehow indicative of poor sportsmanship.

I’m not going there on this thread.
I’m just gonna have fun with shooting the Quack Attack out of the sky. Their team got beat up pretty bad.

You are aware of an award given each year to the most outstanding player in college football? Do you know the name of that trophy presented annually?

Comparing a debate to a football game which has a real score to decide the winner? More nonsense from you.

Oregon has an excellent football program. I expect to see them back in the Championship.
You did lose this game but all is not lost.
They need to get 4qtrs under their belt. Strength of Schedule is key.

I was in the OSU marching band from 76 - 80 including Woody's last 3 years. I met Woody several times during those three years. He frequently stopped by the band to talk with us. He admired our hard work and joked the he wished his players practiced as hard. As others mentioned, he was also a historian and often intertwined Greek/Persian war battles and strategy in his speeches. Unfortunately, I searched for a video of the commencement speech he made shorty before he died in 1987. It was truly a remarkable speech.

Oregon had the ball last. Why didn’t they just take a knee?

Two bad teams played for the title.
Hah hah, that's hilarious. OSU was picked as 3-4 dogs against the Wisconsin (Beat Auburn in the bowl game) Badgers. Why? Because our star QB was injured toward the end of the Michigan game - Result? A 59-0 pounding of a top team with a soph third string QB.
Despite that impressive win, picked as 9-10 point dogs against the Crimson Tide. Result? Beat them like a rug.
Picked as 5-6 underdogs against OU - Result? Shut their Heisman Winning QB down. Held them to 2 for 12 on 3rd down conversions. Held them to 0 for 2 on 4th down conversions. Elliot ran for 200+ yards against Wisconsin, Alabama and Oregon - No Buckeye had ever run for 200+ in consecutive games before (think Archie, Eddie George ... etc). Elliot (A true soph) did it 3 times and did it against 2 great defensive teams. I got news for you, this "Bad team" is dominated by Freshmen and Sophs. Next year they will likely be better.

I just found out that Meyer had Tebow speak to the team before the Bama game.
Interesting.

Here's another fun fact for you - OSU faced all 3 Heisman finalists in the final 3 games. Shut them all down. Wisconsin's Gordon - 70 yards rushing on 27 carries in a 59-0 blowout. Alabama's Cooper - a little better, 71 yards receiving. OU's Mariota - had him rattled the entire game after the 1st drive.
