Your posts are confusing. I don't watch CBS news, let alone own it -- so I don't know what "your own CBS news" means.

Ted Cruz doesn't have to be Secretary of State or a member of the State Department, or a cabinet member to attend a rally overseas. If it was that important to him, he would have gotten on a damn flight and attended the rally.

He didn't attend because it wasn't important to him. And it wasn't important to him for the same reason it wasn't important to anyone else in the leadership of the U.S. government: U.S. leaders don't attend political rallies in foreign countries, period.

It's the job of the executive, particularly the State Department, to carry out foreign policy, not the leglislature . It's like saying why doesn't Ted Cruz go negotiate with North Korea. It's not his job to carry out US foreign policy. That's why what the president and the State Department are there for. You just couldn't get up and go to this particular raĺly. Just ask Netanyahu who the French president tried mightily go stop from attending the rally.

Irrespective of what TV stations you watch, the fact remains that news reports about the rally I Evita boy made mention of free speech, putting the lie to your “ I never heard a year mention of free speech” in reports about the Paris rally mantra.
