The White House admitted Monday that more prominent U.S. officials should have been in Paris on Sunday for a historic unity march.
I think its fair to say we should have sent someone with a higher profile to be there, White House press secretary Josh Earnest told reporters on Monday.
The U.S. was represented at the march held to honor the victims of last weeks string of terror attacks in France and to demonstrate unity and freedom of expression in the face of terrorism by U.S. Ambassador to France Jane Hartley. Attorney General Eric Holder was in Paris but not did attend the march.
Other world leaders, including German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, took part in the event.

No golf courses convenient to the walk site.
Obama doesn’t want to be seen marching against muslim terrorism? Gee,I wonder why?
>that’s a rhetorical question folks<
Aw, give Barry a break. He probably had a hard to get tee time.
This was intentional. By not sending any high ranking officials (Pres, VP or cabinet Secretary) from the adminisration it was a clear message to the terroriss - “I stand with you”
Fixed it for ya
Since he didn’t say so himself, this isn’t the position of the fake POTUS.

U.S. Ambassador to France Jane Hartley was there. Contrary to the belief at Foggy Bottom, the State Department’s function is to represent the US to foreign nations, not to represent foreign nations to the US.
LOL. You’re right!
Whatever, just a bunch of ball-less wonders there who aren’t going to do a damn thing about it.
U.S. Ambassador Jane Hartley and Attorney General Eric Holder were in France and they couldn’t even be bothered to attend???! Its one thing to be too far away and couldn’t make it in time due to some previous appointment, but if you’re already there but still refused to go. Thats a snub
Well, he could at least have sent Al Sharpton.
I suppose Uncle Joe Biden was too busy creeping out the daughters of Senators to attend?
Probably because the actual reason, the NFL Playoffs, wouldn't have had the right "optics."
Yes, but according to the article Hartley did not attend the march.
Amateur hour from a bunch of fools I wouldn’t want cleaning my pool let alone running my country.
I think the idiot may have sent Sharpton if he thought he could get away with it.
“The U.S. was represented at the march by U.S. Ambassador to France Jane Hartley.”
I’ve got to admit, what’s the point of the march? There will be another Muslim attack on the French people, and then another, and another, and another, and another.
Are they just going to go out and march each time?
