You won’t find it in the American media, but the U.K. Daily Mail has obtained confirmation from an administration spokesman that President Obama spent much of yesterday watching the NFL Playoffs (as I speculated).
According to an administration official, President Obama spent part of his Sunday afternoon watching a National Football League game on television.
In fairness, the playoffs took place after the rest of the world leaders had marched, along with U.S. representation that stopped at the assistant secretary of state level and an ambassador who was a bundler for Obama.
It looks to me as though Secretary of State Kerry may realize that his absence was a mistake. But at least he had an excuse: he was in India on official business, though with an executive version of the Boeing 757 at his disposal, he could have pleaded emergency business and departed for Paris. Instead, he said:
'As everybody knows, I have been here in India for a prior planned event,' he added.
'I would have personally very much wanted to have been there but couldn't do so because of the commitment that I had here and it is important to keep these kinds of commitments.'

You’re right. How soon before Obama, Holder, and Charles Blow start calling for an investigation of the racist, white, French police who killed the Black muzzle?
ping
First time he’s done something right.
Sounds like a good idea to me. I don’t see what could be gained by him going to Paris. Now if he decided to go to Nigeria where Boko Haram has been murdering and abducting Christians and other non-Muslims I would support that. There is after all a chance that U.S. policy might be do some good in Nigeria. There is very little likelyhood that our foreign policy regarding France will have any influence on how the French will respond to this attack. His presence would be an empty gesture, a bit of political posturing. Which is to say it would play to his strengths.

Good to see that Obama has his priorities straight, after all he is a good old American boy, dedicated to bringing hopeNchange to baseball, football, and bas’aball.
Obama missed the trip to gay paree....why? He is not an American.

I imagine that every country in which this image is published, will interpret what it means to suit their own bias. I see the leaders of France and Germany, who have the most to lose, with honour, courage and integrity on one side of them and the facilitator of the Munich Olypic Games massacre on the other side.
What to do?
France says, 'we have to keep a lid on this thing', Germany says 'I'm right beside you.'
And islam is laughing.
Agreed 100%.
The petty socialists of Europe want to keep the status quo relationship with their internal Muslims.
The USA is bound to do the Saudi step and fetch through Obama, whose position against “Islamofascism” is the same as the Saudi Kings : “ Buy them off and do your dirty work everywhere but here.” Obama has the same position, except he drone strikes those who the Sauds want to have offed. And those are usually the Imams and terrorists that the Sauds cannot control through the purse.
Things are about to get a lot worse. As for Bibi, he was there to assure further protection of Jews in Europe, and facilitating repatriation to Israel for those who want it.
Group hugs do not work. When Joan of Arc reappears and takes up her sword, Europe will be at the beginning of having a chance. So far they are as good as dead.At the Paris demonstration there were no sans culottes with pitchforks. They were sorely missed. So much for the revolutionary spirit of France.
