She’s an American bull dog, now about 8 weeks old.
She slept with me last night. She is solid white; her name is Blanca.
Jackie loves her. Never especially wanted two dogs but daughter had nine pups and Jackie, the rescue dog, was very lonely. With rescue dogs you never know their background. I was told her owner died. But I can tell Jackie was raised...I dunno, in a nursing home or something. Her original name was `jackson`...I think that was probably her owner’s last name.
Jackie loves people and other dogs. Jackie loves me and hey, you get a rescue dog you gotta have patience. But she needs another dog.
They’ve both been playing this morning. I can tell Jackie loves Blanca.
They go outside together and tomorrow we’ll spend time outside during morning exercises.
Very, very good! Jackie can wear the puppy out and teach her good manners.
We adopted two rescue dogs at the same time and it added a dimension to our lives we didn’t know we were missing. Strider, the older one, was able to calm down Aubrey, the younger one, and teach her the world was not such a scary place. Aubrey is totally devoted to her “big brother” and together they make us laugh a lot. I can’t help but think we’ll continue being a dual dog household for as long as possible.
Congratulations to you, Jackie and Blanca!
