A tidbit buried at the end of a Romney adviser’s longish rationalization of why Mitt Romney may yet again run for the GOP’s nomination suggests Romney does not think Jeb Bush has what it takes to win the GOP nomination.
BuzzFeed reports:
According to one former adviser, the biggest political question Romney will be considering as he makes his decision is whether Bush will be able to make it to the general election.
“Look, Jeb’s a good guy. I think the governor likes Jeb,” the adviser said. “But Jeb is Common Core, Jeb is immigration, Jeb has been talking about raising taxes recently. Can you imagine Jeb trying to get through a Republican primary? Can you imagine what Ted Cruz is going to do to Jeb Bush? I mean, that’s going to be ugly.”(continued)

Both Romney and Bush should stay in and help split the RINO vote as well as the RINO primary financing.
Huckabee (who stands about as much of a chance of becoming President as my Aunt Jane) should stay out as this fraud has convinced a percentage of the base that he is conservative (which he most definitely is NOT). Huckabee will enter with the sole mission of drawing off some conservative vote from the less discerning who he has fooled.

Bluestocking, IMHO you should consider changing your user name to LETUSPLITTHECONSERVATIVEVOTE. Rubio, of Amnesty promotion fame, has demonstrated that he is willing to sell out his “conservatism” in a nano-second. Ben Carson, decent man though he be, is VERY weak on the 2nd amendment and has not demonstrated a conservative core by a history of his ACTIONS. They serve merely to help splinter the conservative vote.

You put Cruz and Palin together and they could “waste” all the other candidates including Bush and Rohmney. Unfortunately, I don’t see that happening.

Your point is well taken, but, Jeb Bush is no Mitt Romney. And Mitt Romney did not have Ted Cruz on the stage with him.
