A tidbit buried at the end of a Romney advisers longish rationalization of why Mitt Romney may yet again run for the GOPs nomination suggests Romney does not think Jeb Bush has what it takes to win the GOP nomination.
BuzzFeed reports:
According to one former adviser, the biggest political question Romney will be considering as he makes his decision is whether Bush will be able to make it to the general election.
Look, Jebs a good guy. I think the governor likes Jeb, the adviser said. But Jeb is Common Core, Jeb is immigration, Jeb has been talking about raising taxes recently. Can you imagine Jeb trying to get through a Republican primary? Can you imagine what Ted Cruz is going to do to Jeb Bush? I mean, thats going to be ugly.(continued)

Thanks, KC. I must have posted that dozens of times during the 2012 primary. Obviously, it wasn't nearly enough. I'll do better if he runs again next year.
“Huckabee isnt exactly made up of the personality style people care to listen to.”
There are a GREAT MANY people that like listening to Governor Huckabee. That is why he had such a successful program on Fox. So, what you write is “your” view, not those of everyone - NOT EVEN REMOTELY. Huckabee and Jeb Bush are NOT the same personality type.
Hey, if Huckabee is not your guy. So be it. But don’t sling nonsense about how he isn’t liked or spin some conspiracy nonsense. It just isn’t so.
He was just on Fox about the nonsense of “political correctness” regarding Islam. Doesn’t sound like someone who wouldn’t go head to head with Hillary.

I can imagine what Cruz will do to both Mutt Romney and Jebbie. It'll be beautiful.
It’s my hope and understanding that all the same effects Ted would have against Jeb would likely sink Mitt.
Mitt is as liberal as Jeb. Why doesn’t this advisor see that?
Huh? There’s not a dime’s worth of difference between all of those idiots.
I figured your decision was a “religious”/”theological” one. First of all, because I call him “The Huckster” doesn’t mean I hate him. People call me “numb skull” but they don’t hate me. He is “The Huckster”. He stood by Tod Aikin, who should have stepped down and let another pro-life candidate, that wasn’t stupid, run against the despicable, Claire McCaskill. But, he and Huckabee stood firm and he was thrashed in the Election. He and Mike Huckabee, being hard-headed, cost us the United States Senate.
I guess I need to let you know that I have been a born-again Christian since I was 19 years old. I’m a Christian Southerner. So, I have just “shot down” your reasoning. You have stuck out, big-time, in your judgment of me.
You really need to get over your martyr complex Bro. BTW, the last Southern Baptist President we had was Jimmy Carter. I voted for him because he was born-again. He was the worst President in the History of the United States until Barack Obama took the title away from him. Just because a person is a preacher or “Southern Christian” does not mean they would be a good President. If he was to get the nomination, Mike Huckabee would lose by a landslide.
Ooh, pick me! Pick me! I know!
Mitt is the guy, who lost to the guy, who lost to Obama. He also won the award for 'Best Impersonation of a Liberal Democrat' when he was Governor of Massachusetts.
What do I win?
That's an oxymoron if I ever saw one. By definition, there's no such thing.
Now, big government RINO, on the other hand.....
Nope. Better to have a slew of RINOs running to split the low info vote among them, which then catapults the (hopefully) lone conservative to the head of the pack.
Last time around, Mitt benefited from the fact that so many decent conservatives were in the race. The conservative primary vote was split as a result, which then propelled him to the front.
He does it for the reasons I stated. To play power games because he can and to help his power broker buddies because he can.
SMH
DITTO!
You have GOT to be kidding.
Carson may be a decent individual, but he's never held a single public office. We've had enough on-the-job-training by Obama to last us a lifetime. We surely do not need to repeat that mistake. Besides, Carson is weak on the 2nd Amendment. Pass.
Rubio?? What conservative in their right mind would vote for that guy after all he did to give amnesty to illegals? The guy's a backstabbing, bought-and-paid-for minion of the power elite. No thank you.
If Romney's the best we can do in 2016, we may as well all stay home. That guy would be Obama's third term.
His paycheck's probably blocking his view.
fwiw, I’m an conservative, Evangelical Christian and Huckabee comes across to me as a snake oil salesman who I wouldn’t trust as far as I could throw him (his girth also concerns me as he shows lack of respect for his own body and health). You’re out of line essentially accusing the other poster of being a liar by not admitting he ‘hates’ Huckabee and probably has a prejudice against Christian Southerners.
No there are social conservatives who want to use the government to do their bidding. It’s not just RINOS.
I agree w Mitt!!!
Point taken.
