Romney or Bush: Who would you prefer if you had to choose for 2016 nomination? And Why?

Posted on 01/10/2015 7:43:45 AM PST by inchworm

I'd take Romney. He seems more like he is learning, understanding, and trying to be more conservative as the years go on. Bush on the other hand is floating ideas that seem far less conservative to me as the years go on.

However, CRUZ IS MY TOP CHOICE!!! Go CRUZ!

Gues I wouldn’t vote unless “None of the above” was on the ballot.

prefer?

Is a kick in the head of primary voters in order?

You have to think before answering?

Sarcasm .. You have to question the sanity of some folk. Regularly and Especially in the Land of Politique&Intrigue.

That was what he was going to do. I’m only able to vote. That’s my only power. I choose to exercise my vote to keep Hillary out of the White House. I may succeed but I know I won’t if a lot of conservatives decide the sabotage the Republican candidate. That’s what happened in 2008 and 2012.

Weird topic.

Nothing weird about it. There stands a pretty good chance that this will be the exact choice we'll have to make.

The Republican party has openly declared war on the Tea party and you want me to retaliate by voting for the very people leading the charge?

THE ABOVE NEEDS TO BE REPEATED.

Seriously, what has happened to you folks, or have so many of you always been establishment players?

Here is what I think is going to happen, Neither will be the nominee, the Repuklicans know it won’t work, so they will hoist someone up who has not actually stood up to the establishement. Granted, that list is short, and already repuklicans are trying to say they are unelectable. Kind of like the excuse to vote for Boehner. Then, when we point out the latest/ greatest Conservative in sheeps clothing, they will start shouting “purity test, lesser of two evils,” etc.

It better be someone who has fought the establishment, or I am voting for the D.

In 2008 I said it is only because of Palin I voted for McCain. In 2012, I reluctantly pulled the lever for Romney because I didn’t think we would get to 2016 with 4 more years of his royal highness.

It’s over. Either a conservative gets the nomination or a conservative will be written in. And to the “pundits” who say they are on the right, the first one who says we need to vote for the republican because we have to win the election, will get nothing but grief from me.

Neither and don’t troll for Romney. He is a Democrat pretending to be a pub.

I left the GOP over Romney. It is HIS fault (and the GOPe) that we got Obama again. He never should have been the nom.

Probably true. I got a lot of flaming for leaving the GOP over Romney and switching to the Constitution party, but people don’t like to vote for losers.

Neither, both are Corrupt RINO’S and will tell you anything you want to hear and will do the opposite.

We have been continually lies to by the Republican Party and nothing changes. Why keep voting for these idiots when they Lie to us and never do what they say they will?????

Here is a possibility you didn’t consider...don’t vote for either one. Or leave the GOP and campaign for a REAL conservative if they keep shoving these milquetoast people down our throats.

Mitt has proven himself incompetent, every time he leaves the sanctuary of his religion and his building the family wealth.

He has won a single election in his quarter century of elective politics, and he didn’t reach 50% in that race, he then governed so badly that he had to give up running for reelection, and crept out of that 4 year stint, with 34% approval, being so incompetent that he lost the seat to the democrats, after being the 4th republican governor in a row.

Romney followed that up with hitting the 2008 primary as the 800 pound money gorilla, and losing to Huckabee and McCain, and then spending his way through the 2012 primary to lose a presidential race to Jimmy Carter’s second term when we were on the verge of a depression.

Aside from being a pathological liar “I marched with MLK”, “lifetime hunter” “gun owner”, “I have become pro-life”, “I was not running a sanctuary mansion for 11 years and 2 national scandals” “I longed to serve in Vietnam”, and on and on, the man is an incompetent boob.

“Nothing weird about it. There stands a pretty good chance that this will be the exact choice we’ll have to make.”

Not really.

In the primaries most people will have other choices.

I am in California and by the time of our primary it is usually settled, but voters in other states will have a choice.
