After 25 Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives embarrassed Speaker John Boehner by voting against his re-election bid, the newly re-elected Boehner has begun to exact his revenge on those that opposed him.
According to a Politico source, conservative House members Daniel Webster and Rich Nugent, both from Florida, will lose their spots on the highly coveted House Rules Committee.

Trust me. He loves dragging people into his theology BS. Don’t bother.
Well, best of luck to you.
I was pointing out that up is up and down is down, and a political win is a political win, and that calling somebody a squishbully will never accomplish anything. Nothing about Satan or God in any of that.
What if you learned that this was God?
If we stand up in the spirit of the Lord, truth may surprise you by suddenly being heard.
And I am pointing out that the devil has turned it all upside down, bitter for sweet, bad for good, and if we say oh well that’s just what we have to tolerate then you have dissed the Man Upstairs.
God helps those who help themselves. And the first thing you need to help yourself to is understanding the basic rules of how the American political system works.
You love dragging people into your pride. I bother from time to time pricking it.
No, the first thing you need to learn is how God works and no it is not by “helping those who help themselves.” That is not in the bible.
Then I’d already be in your hell. Or I am clearly smarter than God.
Thou showest thy pride. Pride goeth before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall.
Sure God. Whatever.
None of which has any bearing on the facts at hand. With or without standing in God’s light the coupe failed, and Boehner’s power within the party is now unassailable for at least a year.
If you mock God, you should not expect any better results.
The word is coup, if you want to be accurate. A coupe is a model of car.
Nonetheless you certainly give up very quickly. You can burst past Satan’s power, but you cannot do it while hand in hand with Old Scratch.
Certainly it is a fact that, given the condition of being locked inside a Satanic worldview, there is no hope. But who said you had to lock yourself into that? Norm, the one who so disbelieves that he even mocks God to his face?
There’s nothing to give up. They tried, they lost, they are being punished, better luck next time. It’s just like a football, the final whistle blew, your team lost, but there’s another game soonish.
Who ordained that? Mere man? Who is less than nothing in God’s sight?
There are godly ways to do things and they win. I know too little about the attempt to bring Boehner down to opine on whether it was godly. But the ancient Hebrews didn’t win every battle either — sometimes they lost for a short season so that they could see the benefit of doing things in a godly way.
You are calling me prideful and claim to be God. Then condemn me...yet again for mocking...You.
Seek an exorsist. You went well beyond Thorazine some time ago.
Well let’s see. It’s a government of people by people with rules written by people to control people and a bunch of people tried to change which people was in charge of their group of people and they failed and that people is punishing by giving them new jobs within that people constructed government jobs with less prestige among other people which will reduce the number of people that vote for them allowing them to be replaced by people that will better respect the people in charge.
So yeah, mere man, because it’s a mere man thing. But reality goes on. Two years from now we’ll be inaugurating a GOP president, hopefully he won’t be a douche, and two years after that the Dems will have big gains in both chambers, and then the GOP pres will be re-elected, and then more dem gains, then a dem president, then GOP gains, and somewhere in there Boehner because eventually enough people will blame him for enough stuff.
It’s politics. Even when good guys do it it’s probably not godly, because it’s politics, and politics are about the accumulation of power for the sake of having power.
Welcome to reality. It’s kind of icky. Gotta run, have fun in God’s light, which won’t change the fact that Boehner won.
