Just because someone claims authority doesn't mean that they REALLY have it. The Constitution places real, absolute limits on what authority the Federal government has; these limits are routinely ignored.

ABSOLUTELY! Fight that good fight! Persuade your associates, write articles and comments to spread your views, run for office, support those whom you believe are God's choice. But do not disengage because of personal offence taken. The stakes are too high to give up!

I've put a lot of time/thought into several constitutional amendment proposals, I've gotten a bit of positive feedback, and am considering e-mailing them to the new Congress. (Though the only real chance at adoption, I believe, is via Article V.)
