Twitter users are urging people to blame the perpetrators of crimes, not Islam, for the Charlie Hebdo massacre Wednesday and other violent crimes with a new hashtag #RespectForMuslims.

The hashtag took off overnight, earning more than 206,000 tweets in the last day and is picking up steam quickly.

The movement encourages people to respect the followers of the religion and not align them with terrorists who share the same religion.

The god of Islam is not the true God-—the God of the Old and New Testaments.

Muslims kill because Islam is not a religion, but a demonic blood cult.

It is impossible to compare the Crusades to the heinous crimes committed by Muslims through the centuries. The Crusades were a RESPONSE to Muslim aggression-—to unrestrained murder and torture of Christians, and the sacking of their territories.

As for the Inquisition, it’s estimated that 125,000 people were brought up before Inquisitional authorities. Possibly 2% of those were killed.

By contrast, about 270 million people have been killed by Islamics since the inception of their savage blood cult.

The only respect I have for muslims is when I see one I put my hand on my CCW weapon. It is just comforting knowing it is there in the presence of such danger.

And just how do you tell the terrorist ones from the not-terrorist ones? You have to wait until they bring out the AK’s and start shooting? Just another group that you have to be aware of at all times and cover you back.

Ah yes, the old moral equivalency argument. Think back, Kack. The Crusades ended 500 years ago. So did the Inquisition. And the IRA was less about religion than it was about political power.

Meanwhile, every new day brings another muslime atrocity.

So your comparison, while trite and shopworn, is also specious.

I guess you can say that, if that is how you see it. This is however not trying to justify the Muslims in any way, they are no doubt the most barbaric of any; murdering in the name of their Prophet Mohammed.

The Inquisition and The Crusades show a religious slant of Catholicism that is what cost millions their lives, based on their perception that God wanted people to convert....but wasn’t it greed and evil, not God? The Spanish Inquisition was later, and the Moors not the origin of the Inquisitions.

Many want to rewrite history instead of accepting the failures of man and his distorted view of Christianity. If there is no ‘live and let live’ in worship and faith, then there is no freedom, period.

The Inquisition was aimed mainly at lapsed Catholics, an attempt to stem the dissolution of the Church by "heretics." But whatever its roots, I ask you the last time you saw an Inquisitor hijack an airplane and fly it into a building. Or slaughter a bunch of commuters on a London bus. Or murder children in a theater in Beslan.

You can compare the predations of Christianity to those of islime all you want, but one was then, the other is now. I'd trust my life with a group of radical Baptists long before I'd trust it with a pair of "mainstream" muslimes.

I wrote this on another thread.
Islam is not only religion that killed people in the name of God.
The Crusades/The Inquisition also killed people in the name of God.
And what about the Ireland’s Irish Republic Army and the Protestants at war with bombings of people and places in the name of religion.
None of those people actually represented the true God. Because he is not a denomination or a group of executioners that demand everyone be who they are.

Islam is the only religion that continuously advocates for murder and killing people.
The Crusades were responses to Islamic invaders, so that doesn't help your argument much.
Irish/Protestant issues in Ireland/England are more political than religious.

If you think Islam is a “religion” of peace, you must read the Koran.

The terrorists are plain Muslims just doing what their book tells them to do.
