Take a look at the electoral history of that NYS district.
I know a lot of FReepers think they could beat Pelosi or Wasserman-Schultz with a Ted Cruz type, but it doesn’t work in D+30 districts.
Sometimes you just gotta accept small gains.
All news is bad news to many folks on this forum.
I catch Mark Levin for his first half hour on most weekdays and some of Rush replay on weekends and they make it sound like Ted Cruz could win those districts easily.
Levin always points to Reagan as if Cruz is Reagan (who he obviously is not) and goes on how Reagan won 49 states 30 years ago, cites it as proof that Cruz could win states like MA today.
As ridiculous as this line of reasoning is almost anything claimed by those guys gets repeated here by some.
Wasserman-Schultz’s district is conceivably winnable for the GOP in perfect storm set of circumstances. Obama “only” got 61.5% of the vote there.
But San Fran is one the most democrat districts in the country (6th lowest Romney % I believe), NO Republican is winning there, period. Not even if Pelosi molested little boys.’
As for Elise Stefanik (who’s seat is not nearly as liberal as Wasserman’s let alone Pelosis), there are reasons to believe she’s a genuine conservative and will likely be the best member from NY. Enough of this “voted for Boehner? Then SHE’s scum!!!” stuff. I realize the wound is still fresh for those who had actually believed that this haphazard effort would actually topple Boehner, but come on, seriously.
