John Boehner is getting revenge.
He secured his third term as speaker Tuesday afternoon, losing 25 votes on the House floor to three relatively unknown members of the House Republican Conference. But hes already punishing those who betrayed him.
First up: Florida Reps. Daniel Webster and Richard Nugent. The pair will be booted from their spots on the House Rules Committee, according to sources familiar with the decision. Webster ran against Boehner (R-Ohio) for speaker Tuesday, and Nugent supported his fellow Floridian.
The Rules Committee is a panel appointed by the speaker, and it controls the flow of legislation to the House floor. Its a prestigious appointment for members who are loyal to leadership.

Agreed. We owe it to the ones having voted today; for someone other than the weeper, to at least acknowledge the deed by thanking them personally, whether by present or future campaign contributions, direct correspondence, supporting editorials, or help in subsequent elections.
S Carolina GOP were particularly disappointing.
Did we really expect anything else?
Is there a list of how the house members voted?
They need to know that they are being supported and appreciated.

Now we conservatives know how the Nights Templar felt on Friday, October 13, 1307
Yes. The more the committees one serves on, the more the kaching one receives. If you lead a committee... score! Mo money mo money mo money.
I’ve had enough...
I’ve notified the secretary of state’s voter registrar that I’m registering with the Constitution Party of Louisiana. It has only 200 members but I’m tired of being associated with these unpatriotic quislings.
Rush was right...I hope Rush goes redline tomorrow and gets angry...wonder what Levin said today. Boeher and his posse are traitors.
You are either delusional or ignorant. Have you not been paying attention the last few months???
The Ruling Class Oligarchy have now made it IMPOSSIBLE to 'take over the party from within. Today should have been an object lesson in that fact.
But no. Conservatives will continue to lie to themselves that they have a chance to do so the next election.
, if we split it, Obama/Warren win.
Makes not a damn bit of difference if they win or Jeb wins.
Liberty loses regardless.
It is time folks, Ted and or company needs to pull a Perot.
AsGeneral Patton said,”If your nice to a skunk he won’t piss on you. As often.”
LOL!
Only 25 newly elected Republicans voted against Boehner....
That means the overwhelming super majority of Republicans support John Boehner who supports the Obama Administration Agenda.
Nothing has changed.... This is even though the voters overwhelmingly went against the Obama agena.
John Boehner and almost all the Republicans puts gave the conservatives, the American people, the election and the U.S. Constitution the middle finger.
You would have a better chance at converting the Democrats from within.
The Republican Party has been neuteriized
Boehner is an idiot. Sometime over the next couple of years he will need the support and votes of these guys and then it will be payback time.
Rule of the people is an illusion. Regardless of which party holds sway, we are ruled by elites who have nothing but contempt for us.
Levin went back to history and gave an inspiring talk on how the Founding Fathers risked everything for liberty.
The BEST Rainbow line-up ever...thanks!
We need to take a lesson from the Dems and dig up some dirt on Boehner and if none can be found then make something up like an anonymous report of rape. Since he is not quite a full democrats the media should take him over the coals and we could call for him to step down. That’s probably the only way we will be able to get rid of the scumbag.
Also make sure two primary your representative in the next election if they did not vote to remove him. My rep, Martha Roby, will certainly be primaries in my district. Her vote for Boehner just ended her political career. We already have to possible replacements and some very deep pockets ready to pay whatever it cost to get rid of her.
