This is why as an ER doc I bought a bag with a ballistic insert that will stop all pistol rounds, and carry my CC weapon in the bag rules be damned. We are wide open in the ERs now due to the idiots running most hospitals who push “ open, family friendly” concept. No locked doors, no restrictions to entry, people wandering in and out constantly, no metal detectors and unarmed “ security”.
