In the biggest defection from an incumbent speaker in at least 100 years, 25 House Republicans voted for someone other than John Boehner to serve as speaker in the 114th Congress.
Here's the full list, in order: 1.Rep. Justin Amash (Mich.) -- Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) 2.Rep. Brian Babin (Tex.) -- present 3.Rep. Rod Blum (Iowa) -- Rep. Dan Webster (R-Fla.) 4.Rep. Dave Brat (Va.) -- Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-S.C.) ...click link for more

Love hurts.
Maybe he's delusional enough to think he could be elected to Statewide office as Governor or Senator in California?
I really expected at least one of my congress critters to vote for someone other than Boehner...Raul Labrador used to be considered a conservative.
I was also surprised that Mia Love voted for Boehner.
That's what I think also....
And, he's about as conservative as it gets.
WTF? What motivates a real, genuine conservative to vote for Boner?
The unity and purpose was to force the vote past the first ballot.
Gohmert nor any of the others that tossed their hat in seriously thought they would get a majority.
If it were to get past a first ballot without any winner (which it almost did), then the Boehner alliance starts to unravel.
The purpose was to send a message to conservatives that they cannot depend on fellow Republicans to stand up for conservative values or even for the constitution.
Money is power and that is all that matters. Crony Capitalism thrives no matter what party holds the White House. Therefore winning in 2016 is irrelevant. Thus we are seeing an alliance between the Big Government Republican elite and the Libertarians, neither of which have any core values.
This post reminds me of those old geometry theorems, therefore, therefore therefore.
He better have a great explanation for this vote. He will be held accountable.
Not a good beginning....
Some dude named Russell here in OK..also took a dive.
Both voted for Boner..........
Feels better already.
Representative Doug Collins is not one of them. He’s dead to me.
Russell said he was voting for Boehner because he’s (Russell) is a constitutionalist. Yep...that’s what he said.

The secretive Republican Steering Committee announced its recommendations late Tuesday after an all-day meeting to pick the heads of 17 committees, with all of those slots going to white men. Rep. Candice Miller, who was previously reappointed by Speaker John Boehner to lead the House Administration Committee, will remain the only woman to wield a gavel.
As a side note, this token white chick also voted in favor of the 2015 budget proposal........
I think when you are undertaking the daunting task of unseating a sitting Speaker of the House (which has rarely occurred in our history) that a significant amount of preparation and resources and planning and strategizing are required, not to mention a sense of unity and common purpose, and coalescing behind a single candidate capable of executing the task. Just sayin’. Politics aint bean bag. Boehner has been around a long time and it will take far more than an amateur effort to unseat him IMHO. Sorry for the Poli Sci 101.
BOOKMARKED
I'm royally pissed at all Okie Reps.....at this point.
Sans...Bridenstein..................
I wonder if we’ll ever be the United States again.
My flicker of hope is fading.
No females on this list. I guess they are still enthralled with Mr. Cheeto’s tan.
