If we were hot to bomb a nation subsequent to 9/11 it should have been Saudi Arabia! We should have taken out their oil fields and committed no troops to the ground. Troops should be on our southern border! Taking out the oil fields would have been a hardship at first, but we'd have found much more oil in our own continent.
Instead of doing the right thing Bush II went after Saddam again which was a colossal mistake. Saddam was the one that kept Iraq in check and protected Christians and Jews; besides, he bombed Iran on a regular basis. We did the evil Muslim forces a big favor by destroying Iraq!
I agree with you 150%. I would also add the insanity of knocking Kaddafi out of power to the insanity list. He did a real good job keeping his diverse populations in line and in pretty good economic shape. And more insanity: Has anyone looked at a map lately? If Assad falls, ISIS has a corridor to the Med.
Almost everything we've done is at the behest of the Saudis. The same ones who think raping little girls is just good ol' fashioned lovin'.
Maybe God's given up about being on our side anymore.
