They are not going to handle the Trillion dollar problems. They just want the system to carry on long enough to loot the treasury.

Nope that is not the reason why Boehner & company won’t tackle Trillion dollar problems. If they tried that, they will need to institute belt tightening for all....and that will not be popular. So the politicians will continue kicking the can down the road as long as possible, so they can hold on to the power, keep getting re-elected and enrich themselves in the process. To do the right thing a politician would have to be a non-politician and piss off a whole lot of his own kind. Probably would be run out pretty soon by the establishment ogliarchs.
