While I am to an extent defending the Prince on the grounds that I think this story is exceedingly unlikely to be true for various reasons, it's important that the legal situation is understood. While the general age of consent in the UK is 16, and prostitution is also legal in the UK, it is still a crime to pay anybody under 18 for sex.
A child is a child, no matter what nation she is in. And dirty old scummy perverts (who are impotent mentally) will always take advantage of immaturity, if given the opportunity. One of the reasons so much of America still stands out morally from the rest of the world is age of consent laws. They don’t always protect, but they are there as a precedent. Corruption of a minor is a serious offense.
