“... applies to the urban growth boundary. That includes numerous less-developed areas just outside city limits.”

In other words, the city pukes exercise their nonsense rules outside their jurisdiction into outlying areas through Progressive Agenda 21 rules.

“There are places that already ban leaf burning.”

Who’d a thunk that!

I remember in the 1970s environmentalist whackos had bumper stickers... “Split Wood Not Atoms”. Wood back then was considered a renewable fuel now burning wood is a global warming mortal sin.

Better dead than smoky? You bet. Read :The Moral Case for Fossil Fuels.” In it Holden, Obama’s adviser, and Erlich say that nature untouched by humans is more important than human comfort or well being. He also quotes Prince Phillip as saying he would like to return to earth as a virus to wipe out mankind. So, you are correct, to environmentalists, your death is preferable to any impingement upon nature what so ever.

Thank you for referencing that article aimhigh.

Since this issue seems to be a constitutionally unchecked state power issue, it’s perfectly constitutional imo. If local voters don’t like the ban but sit on their hands and do nothing about it on election day then that’s their problem.

Am I overlooking anything?

Put a catalytic converter on it and it’ll become smokeless for the most part.

this is nothing new...... back when I was in scouts, we’d send the tenderfoot over to the camporee HQ to fetch a smoke grinder to fix the excess smoke problem

I believe burning leaves in your yard is already illegal in NJ.

“Burn small sections of your house.”

I have a better idea. Find out where these regulators live and burn large portions of THEIR houses... or apartments, or condos, etc. because “owning” a house is a sign of income inequality. And THAT is what it is really all about.

There was a cartoon awhile ago. It shows two guys sitting in their house around a small fire.

“Don’t worry - President Obama went to go get more firewood for us”.

The picture shows obama around the back of the house prying the siding off the house.

I got a visit from a lone fireman when I started burning leaves after two days of constant rain...he said he was just driving by and could smell “the distinct odor” ....told me to dump them in a gulley on the adjacent property...he was in one of our towns pumpers ...I am in Maine and take burning seriously out of respect for my neighbors and fire....I rolled my eyes when he said he was not going to give me a citation...f’ing morons....good thing he wasn’t around when I burnt the old chairs and couch this past summer.

Gee, the Oregon pioneers would not recognize Oregon today.

Today's Oregon-based regulators would have closed the old Oregon Trail in order to keep settlers out and there would be no need for things such as Urban Growth Boundaries and wood smoke rules.

I’d say two words to them. One begins with “F” and the other begins with “Y”.
